Equipment
Cameras
Perfect for shooting weddings and other events, we have a
firm bond with the Canon XM2. For this reason, we also
use another Canon XM2 as our secondary camera. This
Camera has won many awards for versatlity and performance
and still remains one of the best in its class (Read
more on the Canon XM2 here).
This excellent digital video camera is perfect for dealing
with virtually all environmental conditions. From ambient
low light to high contrasting scenes, the Canon XM2
delivers pictures of remarkable quality and has never disappointed
us. With its compact size and portability, the Canon XM2
allows the opportunity for us to move quickly and unobtrusively
capturing every moment as it happens.
Our cameras are 3x CCD broadcast quality and we always use
fluid head tripods necessary for still shooting. As always,
we use two cameras on location when we can, so you can be
sure of a dynamic eye catching presentation for your video.
Should the need arise and we are sure it will not compromise
the mood of the scene, we may shoot with a small portable
on camera light. Most on camera lights have no light control
and tend to overpower the scene and at worst, ruin the ambience.
The Paglight system we use has light diffusers, focusable
beam, filters and barn doors to adjust the light levels accordingly.

Sound
As important, if not more so, is the quality and dynamics
of the sound. Good pictures are worthless without good audio.
Whilst general filming is mostly performed with on camera
directional microphones, we always attempt to use remote wireless
radio microphones for speeches and vows or where close audio
pickup is required.
Our choice of equipment for this purpose is the Sennheiser
wireless range, perfect for crisp, clear digital audio over
a long distance. With this system, we can attach a small microphone
to the lapel or other garment to record the sound, which is
then transmitted to the on camera reciever. In practice, this
allows us to be discreet enough to capture the event without
drawing attention from the focus of the occasion.

Editing
Along with well balanced audio, good scene selection,
sequencing and pacing are the essential elements that make
good editing. To turn your special day into a video you will
treasure needs a dedicated editing system, along with the
knowledge of using it proficiently. For this we use a bespoke
computer based solution with the latest real-time hardware
and professional non linear editing software.
Presently, we author to recordable DVD -R media. As well
as being a permanent method of recording, this format has
the most compatibility with older and current DVD players.
Due to the various tolerances of older home DVD players, not
all may be compatible with some recordable DVD media. Though,
this is becoming less of an issue with modern DVD players.
Our production times are dependant on the package chosen
for your video. More importantly, we do not make promises
we cannot keep, therefore, we will only advise you on a completion
date for your video after we have considered all your requirements
and taken into account any proposals you may have.
